Welcome to the 106th season of the Corvallis-OSU Symphony, featuring an 80-member orchestra drawn from Oregon State University students and faculty, community members, and professional musicians, and led by music director and OSU music professor, Dr. Marlan Carlson. |
Since its inception in 1906, our orchestra has been a central component of the performing arts program in the Willamette Valley and a major contributor to the vibrant cultural life in our region. Concerts feature musical works both familiar and challenging, and frequently highlight soloists of local or international renown.
Choral music is often included, under the direction of Dr. Steven Zielke, director of choral studies at OSU. Special programs for children and families compliment the season's program of classical orchestral music.
Our 2011-2012 season will hold many exciting and memorable musical experiences. We invite you to share it with us as a regular or occasional concert attendee.
Reserved seats and general admission tickets are available to purchase on-line. |
